The Arise BIPOC Midwife Community Outreach Project
Arise BIPOC Midwife is so excited to be a recipient of The Midwife Foundation’s 2026 Thacher Community Grants for our new pilot project The Arise BIPOC Midwife Student Community Outreach The Thacher Community Grant supports small yet high-impact community-based projects that promote excellence in health care for women, infants, and families worldwide, especially those that show innovative means to meet their communities’ needs. Funded by the Frances T. Thacher Midwifery Leadership Endowment, this community grant will help us address racial inequity, health disparities, and care of populations in low-resource settings. We are piloting this project at Arise BIPOC Midwife Headquarters Baltimore City The Thacher Community Grant will be used to increase access to racially concordant care in Baltimore City through a dual-focused intervention that will pair the skilled professionals in the Arise network with community-focused outreach for BIPOC families.
